7,200 Square Foot Ice Rink Creates A Seaside Winter Wonderland With Public Skating, Special Appearances, Skating Exhibitions, Themed Nights and Pictures With Santa
REDONDO BEACH, Calif. – Chill out for the holidays ahead and check out the festive Seaside
Lagoon in Redondo Beach, located at 200 Portofino Way, when it hosts for the first time ever
“Seaside Ice,” an outdoor ice skating rink. The rink will be open to the public from November 18, 2008
through January 11, 2009 from 11:00a.m. –9:30p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:00 a.m. –
10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday.
Seaside Ice will be the first winter holiday event held at the Seaside Lagoon. The eight-week event
will feature a 60x120-foot ice rink constructed at the Seaside Lagoon. Discount skating admission
tickets will be made available for non-profit organizations.
Skating admission is $14 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under (including skate rental)
and can be purchased at the Seaside Lagoon after November 19, or online at www.seasideice.com.

Fundraiser pre-opening ticket sales programs are now offered to non-profit groups until November 4,

The one-night package is priced at $189 and includes one King or Double Queen traditional room and
a welcome gift basket upon arrival that includes two adult and two children admission tickets to
Seaside Ice, a coupon for a free in-room movie and two mugs with hot chocolate mix and
marshmallows. This package is available seven days a week, based on space availability.
The Best Western Sunrise Hotel “Military on Ice” Package
This one-night package is priced at $139 and is offered to military personnel. It includes one king or
double queen “traditional” guest room and a welcome basket upon arrival that includes two admission
tickets to Seaside Ice and two mugs with hot chocolate mix and marshmallows. If the military
employee presents a toy for the “Toys for Tots” promotion, they will receive an additional 10% off the
package. The package is available seven days a week, based on space availability.
