The Inn, which perfectly captures the mood of the area, has debuted an elegant package called the Coastal Hot Air Balloon & Wine Country Escape, effective September 2007 through June 2008, Sunday to Thursday, aimed at visitors who want a totally original getaway experience.
Guests begin their adventure at sunrise, transported from their hotel by Hummer to the balloon’s launch pad, where the crew demonstrates how they set up the craft for flight. As they float above the trees, passengers get a breathtaking view of the vineyards and countryside. After the approximate one-hour flight, it’s on to the Cowgirl Café in Paso for a hearty breakfast. From there, guests take a custom-tailored wine tour, visiting the famed Paso Robles wineries along the wine trail that runs from Highway 46 West to the end of 46 East. All are small and family-owned.
